It seems like everywhere we turn today there is another story of the adventures and misadventures of the Hilton Hotel heiress Paris Hilton coming at us from every media outlet possible. In these serious times when we are being bombarded with news that the terrorists are gonna blow us up or global warming, according to Al Gore, is gonna burn is up, maybe we just need a little comic relief with our evening news and so far the lovely Ms. Hilton has been there for all of us and delivered numerous tidbits of the most unimportant news a person could possibly ask for.

Unlike the Hollywood movie stars Paris donât preach to us about what we should or shouldnât do or think. As far as I can tell she doesnât take herself too serious and if she thinks about it at all, which I doubt, I donât believe she expects us to take her very serious either. Paris Hilton just does what she does. Therein lies the complexity of Americaâs latest media darling. No one is quite sure what it is that Paris Hilton does.

The mystery of Paris Hilton was just too good a target for Nashville to leave alone and sure enough Nashville songwriter Lonnie Ratliff couldnot let the opportunity pass to delve into the Hilton story from the redneck perspective of WWBD. Perley Curtis grew up in Exeter, Maine and developed a love of country music and its legends like Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn. After first picking up a guitar at age eight, he played his first paying gig when he was just nine years old - at his uncleâs wedding reception.

In the eight years following, Curtis performed in bluegrass bands throughout New England before moving to Nashville in 1988. Since his move to Music City, the skilled singer/songwriter/musician has formed a country band of his own and has also earned a reputation as a skilled dobro and steel guitarist, performing with artists such as: Holly Dunn, Becky Hobbs, Johnny Paycheck, Connie Smith, The Reno Brothers, Del Reeves, Loretta Lynn and most recently, Charlie Louvin.

Although Perley Curtisâs âSkinny Dipping With Paris Hiltonâ is less than a week old and does not even yet exist on a CD, thanks to the internet the song is already being played by radio stations in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Sweden Belgium and Poland and that is just the ones we know about so far.
