The record (Wallace's first, from 1980) from which this cd is re-mastered was featured in the book, "Vintage Vinyl: A Decade of Jesus Music," by Ken Scott. And it was a foretaste of what was to come.
Wallace's writing, singing, and keyboard playing cover a wide range of styles, making it hard to "pigeon-hole" his music. From the Gene Cotton-like lost love song "Ashley" to the ragtime "You on My Mind," and all the early versions of later Wallace cd standards, you will enjoy this peek into the early years. Armed only with a grand piano, MicroMoog, Mellatron, and Wurlitzer Electronic piano, a younger Randy Wallace has his first go in the studio...ever.
