Lets talk about a great new band from Ithaca, NY. Lets talk about the fact that the 5 members have been friends for years and hang out all the time playing bocce and basketball. Lets talk about a group who likes to have more fun on stage than most bands around. Lets talk about the fact that they are all talented and seasoned musicians as well.

The TalkToMes are led by Gregor Sayet-Bone, prolific song writer and teeth gnasher, whoâs acoustic guitar picking and strumming lay the foundation of the songs. J.T. Puryear is the quiet, perfectionist lead guitar player who noodles electric guitar lines ranging from pretty to crunchy. Sim Redmond, of regional fame, lays down low notes which are easier felt than heard on the bass. Colin Smith alternates between his âtickle a grizzly bearâ acoustic piano lines and screaming Hammond organ. And Josh Norman bangs on the drums with a passion for rocking and an O face to die for. Together the sound lands somewhere between roots rock and classic country with a punk attitude and a yearning to rock a little harder from time to time.

The TalkToMes released their first album (âThe TalkToMesâ) in July 2007. Recorded with the help of some of the best engineers in the Ithaca music scene it is a sweeping showcase of all they can do. Songs about love with clever lyricism and attitude (âisnât love just sex, if you donât get it rightâ COME TO ME, BABY TEETH, LOVE HARBORING FOOL) and tales of life from another time (âpacked my cards along with my pistol, and a bottle of whisky, thought this time I might get it rightâ WOOD, SKIN & STEEL, ROLLING RIVER), the beautiful and sentimental (POUR IT ON, PEOPLE LIKE IT) and aggressive social studies (WRONG SIDE OF TOWN, CRY FOR ME.)

The TalkToMes have played at major music festivals, including The Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival (listed as one of the nations 10 best by USA Today) where they got the rare honor of 2 prime slots. They have also played The Blue Heron Festival and to sell out crowds in their hometown of Ithaca, NY.
