An amazing piece of fiction by Twain, it is the story of a horse who meets a painful end. It also introduces us to Cathy, a girl who loves the horse and suffers with it. The book in general criticizes the custom of bullfighting. Twains extraordinary imagination is in full swing as he gives a human voice to the horse so the reader feels one with it. A wonderful classic for all ages!
