The musical vibrations from cosmic string theory resonate from Joint use areas, POW er FlOWs, to Cote d'Azur (Riviera). The prancing pig, otherwise known as Porcine Beast, plays the sacred clown role that doles out inspiration for anti war sentiment.
6 MP3 Songs
ROCK: American Underground, FOLK: Psych-folk
Details:
The artist, known as AxeS Mundi, (and formerly known as Eric SMoketoomuch), set sights on expressing views of this, and out of this, ORB. The CD, ORB, is the second release of AxeS Mundi, from Arrow One Records (see also www.arrowonerecords.com ).
The first track, POW er FL OWs, was inspired by visits to the former Joint Use Areas between reservations (Navajo Nation and Hopi) and the families that have lived there for generations. Caught between political entities, and energy interests, the families remain steadfast in continuing to live in traditional ways, and in maintaining their ability to pass this on to future generations.
Life on the Riviera is a composition based on a trip to Europe, and the dichotomy of pleasure and fun, that is the Riviera, and the realities of urban living, such as those witnessed on the streets of Rome (Rome-ing charges may apply).
Porcine Beast rears its head, hoofs, and razor back in the third track, inspired by the famous, or infamous, game of Pigs, and all the inspirations, conspiracies, and pro-creation rooted therein.
Oui, Donât Want non War, or We Donât Want no War (listener discretion advised) is a commentary on conflicts that have plagued us during lifetimes, from the Falklands/ Malvinas war to the present conflagrations consuming us.
Souls of Manzanar is dedicated to the families and individuals that survived, or did not survive, and the struggles to live with the injustices during World War II through forced relocations. The artist, had he been born or lived during this time, might have been forced to relocate if born in the US, or relocate and worse, if born or living in Europe then. The song was inspired also by an exhibit in Southern California on this subject.
Still Alive Jive resonates the joy or gratitude in living, and asserting individuality, despite the struggles. We are all unique beings sharing the commonality of living at this point in time on (or in some cases near to or afar from) this ORB.
