BLALOCK & LUNSFORD

Blalock & Lunsford have been compared to Brooks & Dunn, Clint Black, and Rascal Flatts. In truth their style is a great mix of modern and traditional country music featuring smooth harmonies and well written songs that are easy for the listener to understand and follow.
Blalock & Lunsford was formed in 2004 by Bobby Blalock and Ray Lunsford. Bobby and Ray met when both became members of another local band. It was apparent from the start that Ray's harmonies along with Bobby's lead vocals were something special. They quickly became friends and began to toy with the idea of writing some songs together. Soon they had written "Another Today" and several additional songs quickly followed.
After fronting a couple of local bands Bobby and Ray decided to focus on their songwriting and begin work on their first full length CD. To play the lead instruments on their project the guys enlisted the two time winner of the Southern Gospel Music Association's Studio Musician of the Year and former Dove Award nominee David Johnson. David's musical talents shine on Blalock & Lunsford's debut album also titled "Another Today".
Bobby and Ray still play live in the Morganton, NC area performing mostly acoustic shows between their songwriting and recording sessions.
They are currently working on songs for their next CD.
