Listen to the train whistle, but isn't it funny a boat that leaks from the top?

HIP-HOP/RAP: Southern Style, NEW AGE: Space
Details:
From the age of four, when he first played Beethovenâs 5th Symphony entirely by memory on his motherâs piano in Jacksonville, FL, J.Dash has been compelled to create music. Extensively trained in Classical and Blues piano, as well in all percussive instruments, it would be hard to find a producer who has not only been exposed to every kind of music, but one who has always taken a hands-on approach to playing multiple genres.
While in high school, in Jacksonville, FL, J.Dashâs reputation as a musical talent was widespread. In the spring of 2003, while attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, he finally chose to form SlapDash Productions. He began creating Hip-Hop and R&B tracks for local and Southeastern talent, reaching audiences near and far based solely on word of mouth advertising. His music became known for its uncommon musicality, based off his extensive formal musical training, and for its infectiousness. J.Dash makes the beats you canât resist moving to, and writes the hooks you just canât get out of your head.
J.Dash prides himself in his approach to production for each and every artist. He spends quality time with the artist to allow himself to create music that emulates much of their personal energy. He also has an âhonesty onlyâ policy that demonstrates his strong belief in constructive criticism. No artist, no matter how talented or popular, lacks room for improvement. This approach is greatly appreciated by his artists, who view it as showing his care and commitment to their projects.
Since the formation of his company, J.Dash has worked with several artists on their projects as well as released his first solo project entitled âThe Odyssey Of A Corporate Looney Tuneâ which contains the hit single âDonât Do Nuttinâ. The album shows that this talented producer does just as well behind the mic as he does behind the boards, with his vibrant voice and cooler-than-you flow.
Watch out for this up and coming producerâs tracks featuring the industryâs hottest artists and also look for his features in OZONE Magazine, the BET Rap-It-Up Tour, and many other noteworthy accomplishments!
