Minister Theory is an all original band from New Smyrna Beach, Florida with many different influences. When people ask "what kind of music do you guys play,?" the answer is sort of a shoulder shrug and an eager response of, "just listen, and you tell us!" Music has been a part of each and every one of our lives from the moment we came to this earth. Tony (guitar/vocal/percussion), Chris(drums/vocals), and Gina(vocals,piano) are three siblings from the motor city, Detroit, and were raised on the road as part of a musical family group named "The Conti Family". With ten kids, mom, dad, and a huge double decker greyhound bus the family toured malls, fairs, and conventions year round throughout the U.S. and Canada. Their mother and father are both extremely talented musicians, and the love of music was bound to be passed on through the genes. Gina is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, class of 2002. Tony has his degree in Computer Graphics from Jacksonville U, and Chris has the most "real" experience of them all. He spent his entire adolescent and young adult career on the road, experiencing what its "really" all about! James is a DeLand, Florida native and has been playing the saxaphone for many years now. His exstensive performing and gigging experience is very impressive. James never ceases to amaze anyone who has the pleasure of listening to him blow! Eddie Fields hails from Orlando, FL.What can be said about Eddie...Only that he is beyond talented!! So incredibly gifted in all that he does, whether it be drums, keys, bass, Eddie truly is a genius!!! Minister Theory is currently in the process of planning a tour to promote their music.
Minister Theory is unique in that it is a collection of people from different genres coming together to create a unified, well-polished sound. Whether it be musically, spiritually, or mentally, Minister Theory's sound spans a broad spectrum that helps the listener find something they can gravitate towards. There's always something for everyone when Minister Theory plays. Some of the groups main influences are Motown, All types of Jazz, funk, rhythm and blues, and soul, and even some rock. Most of the group is blood, which really adds the sense of family strength, in the vocals, the instrumentation and the energy the group emotes. When it comes to Minister Theory, seeing is believeing.
