I started writing the music for this album when I was on tour with another band in Europe. We were in the United Kingdom for almost a month and I was playing lead guitar. I decided to bring my acoustic guitar along for funâI figured it would keep me practicing and out of trouble. Although Iâm not sure that it really kept me out of trouble, I ended up staying up all night playing and writing just about every nightâmost of the time Iâd watch the sun rise and then go to bed. It was a great tour and I came home with about twelve songs that I couldnât wait to record. Unfortunately, I only got seven done before I had to take off for another project.
