Our music is our life. Itâs not a gimmick or game and we are not clones. As artists we combined our street smarts â thatâs where the âsavieâ (savvy) comes into play - with west coast, g-funk style in order to write and produce music that will make fans go dumb.
Guaranteed to keep your head boppin' and fingers snappin' as well as put a " real-talk" grin on your face. In fact, the âreal-talkâ in our music will either lead you to thinking hard about and laughing hard at life.

Our Street Savie rap group was formed out of Oakland, CA in 1998 by respected underground artists, Dana Harrel AKA "Great Dane", Kevin Jackson AKA "Monsta Cou" and Lawrence Clark Jr. AKA "Pimp Style".
Since our start, we have enhanced while managing to stay true to our style. Currently, our crew consists of the hardest spitters and most versatile vocalists. Including, Big Chop who keeps it hyphe as he spits lyrics that bounce to the slap. Next up, is J-lb., who may catch you slippinâ with his cool, âlike-datâ style and âwhat-it-doâ lyrics. Then thereâs The Road Runner whose spit just doesnât quit. Less we forget Mr. TrakLaya, rapper, R&B singer and top-notch producer, this cat is nothing less than a musical/hip-hop genius. Last but not least, there is Christin Leonna AKA The Golden Chile' this songstress delivers soulful melodies, neo-soul harmonies, hood-talk with a twist then sprinkles it all with a touch of jazz.

All this creativity and good music would not be possible without the vets of the crew, Pimp Style and Mounsta Cou who glues it all together, making sho' that the group stays true to the game and makes hip-hop history while paying respect to those like Too Short, Ice Cube, Lauren Hill etc., who have blazed the pavement before them. Oh, and we have to give love to the actor/funny/skit man, Jay Bolds.

While others just want to make momma proud, Street Savieâ mission is to bring music back to its roots of relating to the fans as they keep their headsâ boppin' and fingersâ snappinâ while beatinâ down the block playing SSE track after track in their MP3 players.
