Among the proud stands of second-growth timber on the gray, drizzly shores of Puget Sound, we took refuge from the world in a treehouse. It became our assembly hall, gallery, sanitarium, laboratory, and sailing ship. Inside this freeborn vessel was poetry, color and irresponsible creativity, and when the wind shook the trees, our treehouse was infused with song.

For our musical chapter one we have grabbed the spirit of the treehouse and thrown it like a wrench into the machinery of our too busy lives, stopping the gears just long enough to pull out nine different dreams.

Now the wheels spin more freely, and when they turn, a needle drops into that old groove and we hear the sound of the wind in the trees again and the sound of distant voices singing. But what do they sing?

Life is good but time is scarce. We all need to take care of each other while weâre still hereâ¦and if you have a song in your heart, make sure you leave it behind.
