The Colorfield Theory is a band with multiple influences ranging from jazz/blues/experimental to Beatles and 60's rock, to modern day artists such as Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and My Bloody Valentine. Each member in addition is involved with fine arts. Roland Kaelin is an accomplished painter, who studied Film and Performing Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design. Enrico Botta is also a fine artist and an exceptional graphic designer(designing the CD) as well as a sculptor. Brian Cook is a film maker who's films have been in film festivals around the world. The music the band makes is meant to be more of tangible experience. The band's experience in visual arts has carried over into the band's sound. The songs are textured and multi-dimensional, hoping the listener will find something new with every listen.
