Musical Projects â

⢠Hourglass â February 2002 â An up and coming progressive rock band. Created a 75 minute, professional quality CD called The Journey Into. Chad left the band to pursue a more personally fulfilling venture into Christian music. The band still plays with a new singer.

⢠I Have A Friend â December 2003 â Teamed up with Nicolette Hunter and Cindy Yates to create a two song CD (I Have a Friend), with the minus tracks included to be a four track project. Sold around two thousand CDâs by word of mouth, and no advertising. The songs included on this CD are: âI Have A Friend,â and âSometimes He Calms the Sailor Not the Sea,â and were arranged, orchestrated, and performed by Sam Cardon. Vocals were recorded at Baby Moon Recording by Marvin Payne and at The Annex by Jonathon Shults.

⢠LDS Performers Top Ten CD â 2004 â The song âI Have a Friendâ was placed on the LDS Performers Top Ten CD for the 2004 season.

⢠Marshall McDonald, Christmas Dreams â September 2005 â Marshall and Chad met while performing for Womenâs Conference in Lehi, UT and were impressed by each otherâs musical talents. Marshall asked Chad to sing a song on his Christmas Dreams CD, which Chad readily accepted the offer. The song âChristmas This Way,â written by Marshallâs sister, Rebecca, is the fourth song on the Christmas Dreams CD and was recorded in Covenant Recording studios.

⢠EFY (Especially For Youth) â March 2006 â Chadâs voice can be heard on the 2006 EFY CD, on a song called, âAll Times, All Things, All Places.â The song was produced and written by Tyler Castleton and Staci Peters.

⢠I Wonder Why â March 2006 â Teamed up with lyricist Jeff Harmon to put together a four song CD (I Wonder Why), with the minus tracks included to make an eight track project. The songs included on this CD, along with background information, are:

o He Died For Me â Music and guitar by Danny Larsen; Piano by Marshall McDonald.
o Missionary Brother â Music and Piano by Marshall McDonald; Cello by Steve Nelson.

All songs for the âI Wonder Whyâ album were recorded at Soularium Studios, with Dan Carlisle as the Sound Engineer.

Musical Explanation â Chad attributes his musical style to his beginnings with rock-and-roll. Being also classically trained he can combine the styles to portray the emotion he feels in his music.

Family â Chad is amazed at how lucky he was to meet and marry Erin. She and their three children are definitely the light of his life. Brooke is six years old and loves karate and singing; Michael is four and loves singing and pretending he's Spider Man; Andrew is one and loves to smile and make silly faces!
