I'm not sure if the term "Therapy Rap" has been coined yet, but this album is the closest I've heard to it. The message in this project is obvious and direct. This album is aimed at individuals who've experienced heartache and need a source to turn to for advice. Nickels (Lojique, Comunalien, Oldominion, The Algorythm) has evidently been through his share of emotional roller coaster rides. His lyrics point to a real and solid way to overcome the pain and fear of a relationship that has ended. Not only does he offer great biblical insight, but he also delivers this theme in an addictively potent musical style. With songs like "Worth It" that blend a club banger feel with an interesting question and "Steadfast" that mixes a lounge feeling head nodder with a message of endurance, this album is an all around classic. There's even a bonus track at the end and a scratch track entitled "Weight" which focuses on the idea that if we want to truly have any revelation from God that we need to wait for it and it will come! Overall this is a very encouraging and fun album! Enjoy!
