A cult name on the Ukrainian Black Metal scene. Formerly Zhitomir-based LUCIFUGUM issued a swathe of tapes for the Eastern market including 1996's "Gates Of Nocticula" and "Path Of Wolf", 1997's "Through Indifferent Sky" and "Instinct Prevelance". The 1996 set saw the inclusion of guitarist Knjaz Varggoth (MISTIGO VARGGOTH DARKESTRA, NOKTURNAL MORTUM and SUPPURATION) and NOKTURNAL MORTUM keyboard player Saturious. That same year would see the project VETCHE take shape, a Black Ambient collaboration between LUCIFUGUM's Balamut and Faunus and NOKTURNAL MORTUM's Knjaz Varggoth, Saturious, Munruthel, Xaarquath, Sataroth and Karpath, alongside. A four-song demo cassette saw distribution through Kolovrat Productions.
