SATHANAS has had a long history in the Underground starting in 1988 with original vocalist Mike Smith later joining ACHERON, and founding member Paul Tucker forming BATHYM known for their "Demonic Force" EP on Thrash Records France. *(See OLD FUNERAL "Devoured Carcass" EP which featured pre-BURZUM/IMMORTAL/HADES members; also on Thrash Records!) SATHANAS' first EP "Ripping Evil" (originally the first demo from 1988) was released by Reaper Records Belgium (known for releases by MORBID featuring pre-MAYHEM's Dead with pre-ENTOMBED!)... The first full-length album "Black Earth" from 1995/96 remained unreleased until September 2001. The 1997 Album "Armies of Charon" was released by Conquistador Records UK (licensed from Barbarian Wrath, Germany); and now the third and newest full-length recording "Thy Dark Heavens" is released simultaneously with "Black Earth" by CYBERTZARA / BlackMetal.com Records!
