"Music is so simple, just open your mouth and sing" the slogan of Diesel, Xion, DLew, Jerricho and Bishop collectively known as COMPOZITIONZ. In the Fall of 1999, the brainchild of 4 young men from Jackson, Mississippi attending Jackson State University, was born . Being JSU's Performing Quartet for a time, they later added one more member, and began a musical story soon to be etched in the stone of musical history. At that time, COMPOZITIONZ made the commitment to extending their talents way beyond the confines of Mississippi and share their special brand of music, a subtle blend of rhythm and blues, gospel, jazz and even a hint of pop.

In March of 2002, COMPOZITIONZ (under a co-musician and friend's advice) began the grueling task of learning and perfecting live performances with a desire to excite and tantalize audiences from ages 8 years old to 80! COMPOZITIONZ deeply felt that something real and true was missing in music; something that was faintly there but smothered by the weight of pyro-technics and vocal synthesizers. So with strong, southern-root based voices, armed with steps inspired by the mighty Temptations;while being compared to the original five, COMPOZITIONZ launched themselves into a whole new era of their musical undertaking.

Now, with the May 2005 release of the much anticipated and independent album (self titled COMPOZITIONZ ), the crowd roars of its destiny to be a pivotal mark in the rebirth of Popular/Soul music.
