Anti Social Degenerates was founded in 1986-87, by Sean Varney, Jerry Wolny, Dave Bingham and Steve Kearns and is one of the most prolific "Oldschool" anarcho hardcore punk bands from the 80's still active in Detroit. We played blast beats a bazillion miles an hr, shreddin' guitars, speed pickin bass lines with free thinking, community orientated political lyrics from the Reagan administration era. We played every venue we could, and recorded about a half dozen demo's that we would send out to international collector's/distributors or traders that got us worldwide exposure. We only made it out of Detroit once because all are aggressive stage antics got us barred from the venues we frequently played. Buzz Jones replaced Steve on drums in 1988. We all packed up and headed out to Toledo to play with Music for the Deaf. And promote are new LP, and one we are most recognized for, is our 17 song infamous 4 track LP, "Hatemongers,.......A product of evolution". We were in negotiations with Hawker records when Buzz decides to leave the band. Enter Shawn Grzyb. A drummer of talent, ability and perfect timing. I never seen a drummer do so many one takers in the studio as him. He played with us and done some very innovative stuff during his time with us. Then Jerry and I wanted to follow 2 different musical paths. So ANTI SOCIAL DEGENERATES went on hiatus for 15 years playing in staple Detroit punk bands. We are the punx that made up the community and it's initial cause. That to me, meant being an expressive individual. ANTI SOCIAL DEGENERATES embody the true nature of everything a true hardcore punk band is comprised of and that is why we were so passionate about reforming. We play hard, fast, raw explosive, dynamic music under a political campaign. Rob Vandermauss replaced Jerry after we re-launched in December with Murphy's Law. Now Anti Social Degenerates are Harder, Heavier, faster, and more crusty and louder then ever. We are charged full of piss and vinegar. 2 decades of chaos ! Screaming "Fuck the System" angst from the same political platform we started developing 2 decades ago. Pure Integrity! Expressing idealism, new concepts, exploitating the warmongers & right wing capitalist and.............................well you get the drift. I'm Fucking pissed. It's a working class war. WE ARE HERE TO FIGHT !
