Apostle Ervin Roberson begin his singing ministry at the age of nine. The first group he singed with was known as The Suwannee Jubilaires, which included his dad Elvin Roberson and his two older brothers Willie and James Roberson.

At the age of 18 he got married and started venturing out with various other quartet groups. In 1995, God gave him his first two two songs to write, âJesus Iâm Depending On Youâ and âWonât Stop Serving Him.â He went on to record those songs, titling the album âJesus Iâm Depending On You.â By 1997, he continues to soar with blessing from God. He recorded his second album â One Touch.â The group members ,at that time, included musician Eric Sharper and Darrell Jones, singers Joe Potter, Tony Jackson, and Gary Sharper. Being led by the Holy Spirit all the songs was written by Apostle Roberson, except two. In 1998, he continue to carry the word of God, he formed a choir called New Jerusalem, from his home church, New Life Missionary Baptist Church, Valdosta, Georgia. The New Jerusalem album was recorded in Alabama. The choir had their first day view in August 1998. Not long after that, Apostle Roberson was called to go on another mission. He and his family moved to the Savannah, Ga. Area, where they now continue to reside.

After moving to Savannah, Apostle Roberson continues to run for the Lord, not looking back. In December 2000, he was ordained as a minister. After much fasting and praying God revealed to him a name for his group, Apostle Ervin Roberson and The True Voices.â The True Voices meant exactly what it stated. Not only did God give him the talent of writing and composing, He blessed him with a lead, baritone, tenor, and fifth voice, amazing huh, God did it. His fourth album "The Word Cameâ was recorded by him in 2004. He singed all four voices. Also in 2001, his album "One Touchâ was voted in the top ten new gospel artist search, by The Lightâ radio station. He was called to come to Ohio to perform that album. After performing, he had an extended invitation to come to the Quartet Convention in Alabama.

He is presently working on his 5th album âRevelation.â Over the past two years God has taught him to play the keyboard. He is currently playing all his music on his new album. He also wrote all the songs for this album. The group currently includes his son Ervin Jr., friends Bro. Joe Potter, Bro. David E. Smith , and Bro. Curtis Thomas. He is also in the process of searching for âGod Fearing Menâ to join the group.

Apostle has performed on stage with great gospel singers, such as Willie Neal Johnson & The Gospel Keynotes, Shirley Ceasar, Canton Spirituals, Luther Barnes, Mama and The True Saints, The William Brothers, and many other groups.

Apostle Roberson goal is to go around the world spreading the word through songs and music, teaching men, women, boys, and girls about the good news of Jesus Christ.
