Once upon a time, There was a young man named Murphy, who packed a few plates, a few knives and forks, A couple of sandwiches ,and then set off on a train journey to the city of bright lights and pollution. This of course was London.

Murphy had heard the story of Dick Wittington of course,though he did not think that the streets were paved with Gold as Dick had,which is just as well,because they were not.

He did discover though that the streets where paved with people who had no homes to live in, and people who had mental problems ,or had just run away from homes that they could no longer bare to live in.

Murphy had not ran away from home or any of the other things though,he had come to London to train as an actor. It was here while at the East 15 acting school,that he met a young Damon Albarn,Once of Britpop band Blur ,then the Gorillaz, and now Good,bad and the queen.

At first Murphy watched this strange Cockney Geezer from a distance,though as time moved on Murphy found that the Albarn geezer was not a bad cheeky chappy at all.

Soon they were playing music together. Albarn would play his broken plastic Yamaha keyboard,while Murphy would improvise vocals, or sing some songs which Damon had written about his long gone girlfriend. "Well ive been there,and i died there,when love kills."

Murphy liked singing this heart torn song that had been penned by the young Albarn. Later on he would always remember that the second verse started "Have you ever had that sacred moment,when everything becomes a Blur, and two souls become one in ........"(alas forgotten) A Blur is in fact what The Albarn geezer of course became.


It was soon after the young Albarn and Murphy had started jamming together that Murphy realized that Albarn seemed to have itchie feet.

Soon it was revealed why.

Albarn had decided that he wanted to leave the acting school and form a band,he also wanted the scouse git Murphy to leave the school and be in the band also.

Murphy was a little shocked,he looked at this young man and knew that this Albarn geezer would achieve the stardom he craved for,and still,Murphy said no,he could not leave the acting school. The rest is British pop history.Damon Albarn became the frontman of the successful Britpop band BLUR. Murphy graduated from school and worked in british theatre and set up his own Shakespearean theatre company,though he still continued to write music.


Damon gone,and London becoming full of mental traffic, Murphy decided to pack his bags once more and head back to Liverpool, It was here that Murphy and three others became the Band Earth.

They were ready to play their first gig after a few months of rehearsal,and the first gig was at the Jacaranda in Liverpool,the pub that the Beatles first played. Not the Cavern as the rest of the world seems to think.

The newly formed band Earth,were the first band to play there on its re-opening.It had ben squatted for many years and had fallen out of use.


This gig was attendecd by representatives from Sony who had travelled from London to see the band. It was an ok gig and Sony mentioned they were interested.

On top of all this, the band on submission of a CD demo To the merseyside Radio station "Radio City" where instantly called to have an interview live on the air with Dave mason who hosted a sunday evening Indie show called "the 3rd degree" This came about after there Manager Steve Faragher had faxed a million faxes to Mr Mason.The interview took place and it was fun.

So with this possibility. the band decided to break up.Strange,yes i know. This was decided in the Lomax Club (deceased) when Murphy was told by Tick and Tock (The lead guitarist and Bassist) that they were not happy with their Artistic input into the band.

This translates into,they wanted to write some songs as well.Up to this point Murphy had written everything, Words and music,which must have been working,hence Sony folk coming to see them. Murphy had said from the outset that if anything ever happened it would be equal shares ,as he did indeed recognise that without each member,Earth would not exist.

He mentioned also to the lads that all he ever did was come to them with songs created on a broken acoustic guitar,and it was indeed "their" artistic talent / input that transferred these songs into something record company folks liked.

Alas this didnt change anything,and Murphy decided to call it a day with Earth.

Earth Was over, The music was over for a while,and Murphy some how found himself in Hamburg,with some strange folks indeed.After this he found his way to Denmark where he found some kind of peace within.Enough at least to carry on in a world that had lost its taste and colour.

Denmark to Murphy seemed like Hobbit land ,though admittedly with the biggest Hobbits he had ever seen.Yes of course he had not ever seen a Hobbit,though he did in fact see a UFO in 1997 which was actually on the ground and therefore should actually be called a ULO, ( landed object) though this is another story all together.

It is in Denmark that the original "Away With The Fairys" were born.After a few months of rehearsal,the band found themselves back in Murphys native city of Liverpool and playing the "Cavern". They had thought only to bring 5 recorded CDs of the band, which sold out in about as many seconds.The crowd at the cavern could not believe they were listening to a band from Denmark,and talks of it being a record industry trick were circulated.The band were asked if they could play another night,but alas the flight back to Denmark was for the following day.

2001 changed everything as far as Murphy was concerned. The horrific murder of the people on 9 /11 and the murders that have taken place all over the world , Iraq especially made Murphy take stock of what is important in life and he came to the conclusion that TRUTH was on the top of his list.

Not your truth or his truth but THE TRUTH! After a lot of research Murphy reached the conclusion that the world has been duped once again into committing murder on a grand scale. As he puts it "WE´VE BEEN HAD"

This particular CD is compiled of songs that he has written over the years , a documentation if you will of his thoughts and feelings regarding the psychopathic take over of world govts and the laws that have been passed since 9/11.

The war to him seems to be on decent human beings and that people who know or search for the truth and are decent are the terrorists.

A new CD project is on the way and will focus on other things that he finds important, stay tuned.
