Celtic Folk. A dozen popular Celtic folk songs, in a mellow, heart-tugging style. Also includes a special bonus track in honor of the heros of "9/11."
13 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Celtic Folk, COUNTRY: Country Folk
Details:
One Fall evening in 2001, my lady and I were listening to her favorite CD as we headed out on a date. I found myself singing along with Michael Crawford (of "Phandom" fame). My lady, Pixie, said "You have a nice voice; let's do something about it." Thus began my musical career.
Soon after I heard and later met an incredible group of perfomers named "The Cottars" from Cape Bredon, N.S., Canada. From them I learned to love Celtic folk music. Before long I was studying guitar, bodhran and voice, and began to perform at medieval faires, local night spots and even on cruise ships.
My first CD, "Celtic at the Faire" was released in September, 2006, just in time for the local medieval faire, where I work as a minstrel and storyteller.
"Songs from the Glen" grew from that original effort, both in quality and number of songs.
If you are looking for rock, rap, jive, jazz, classical or "frimmin at the Jim-Jam," please try down the street, 'cause you won't find it on this CD. But if you are seeking heart-tugging, foot-tapping, memory-jogging songs that leave you smiling or crying, and in which you can actually hear all the lyrics, this is the CD for you.
