Cuthbert and Kemp had a successful three year songwriting collaboration starting in 2003 when they met up. They produced two albums together available on CDbaby under the name Butterfly blues, an acoustic CD recorded in 2004 called Thongs on G string and a band album called Crying for Love recorded in 2005. In October 2006 after a disagreement with the bass player Kemp told Cuthbert 'it's over.' Butterfly blues continued as a three peice band with the bass player taking over singing duties and rerecording some of Cuthbert and Kemp's songs such as Spellbound aswell as unreleased material such as Saharan Sky.

Cuthbert has continued songwriting and released this CD in the summer of 2007. This CD is a continuation of Cuthbert's confiding lyrical style and thought provoking songs. Hopefully you will enjoy hearing his different view on the world! The first 9 tracks feature Cuthbert playing and singing solo, the next five are a collaboration with Al Smtih and the last five are collaborations with Tom Freeman and Tom Stallard. All are friends.
