âIf you had been at Lake Worthâs Bamboo Room on a recent Tuesday, you might have felt like you were sitting in on a semi-private rehearsal of Bob Dylanâs band.
âAfter all, the set list was all Dylan, a mix of classics and newer material. And the sound was pure Dylan, a rollicking blend of blues, folk, country, and other roots-loving styles.
âBut there was a crucial difference: when the lead singer approached the mike, you could make out the lyrics.
"Meet Big Brass Bed, a newly formed Palm Beach County group that honors the legacy of this rock icon. âWe do a cross between Dylanâs own folk-rock and whatever suits this band,â says Rod MacDonald, the veteran folksinger who put together this five piece outfit.â
"Also featured in the group are guitarist and vocalist James London, bassist Tom D'Angelo, keyboardist Mike Kerrigan, and drummer Bill Meredith.
