Here we go again! This is my seventeenth album! First of all, I would like to thank my fans and supporters all over the planet!I am for all of your compliments regarding my talent but I am only part of a greater force. God provides the Inspiration, I am just an Antenna! This time, I have been inspired to compose a song about The War In Iraq. We've been militarily involved in that situation too long! Too many American soldiers have died! I compare policing Iraq to what U.S. cops do in American ghettos. They walk and drive the streets with hopes of controlling the criminals (most people who live in the ghetto are not criminals) but very little progress is made. Crime will never be alleviated in the ghetto because there are not enough police to properly uphold the law. The same thing applies in Iraq. We don't have enough soldiers stationed there to 'keep the peace'. In addition, just like the conditions in the ghetto, there are too many places for the bad guys to hide. I was not a bad guy, but, I have challenged my cop friends to chase me through my old neighborhood and they have lost every time! There is no way American soldiers can catch Iraqi natives on their own turf! The advantage goes to the one man who best knows the territory! How about the language differences? You can't even be sure of which Iraqi citizens you can really trust because you don't fully understand what everyone is saying. The odds against winning are huge! At this point, it is to our best interest to get out of Iraq! Let's "Bring 'Em Back Home" (which is a song on this CD)! Being outnumbered is wasting too many American lives! We must reflect on the fact that we were initially successful in Iraq. We did what we needed to do to "Take Back The Power" (which is another song on this CD). When it comes to Freedom, "Don't Stop Believing" (yes, it's on this CD) we're the world's peacekeepers, but if we're not going to do it right (with the required number of troops) let's not do it at all!
On a personal note, I have a lso wrote a song for this album entitled "Didn't You Used To Be My Daddy?" It is self explanatory...the story of a kid who didn't have a father present when he was growing up. I'm not bitter (although the song may imply that), I was lucky! Instead of a dad, I had positive male influences from Virgil Patterson, Saburo Yamashita, John Baum, Frances Nakano, Ron Hirosawa, Bruce Cutrell and many, many coaches and teachers. I also thank my brothers, Ron amd Glenn for needing me to guide them so I could not fall far from 'The Good Path'. Without the wonderful people in my Life, especially my mother Nina Carlton, I may have been in a situation where I could have been placed on "Lock Down" (yes, another song on this CD). I've never been to prison, but many people from the environment I was raised in live there now. There is a lighter side of Life and it is reflected in the songs, "The Early Bird Gets The Worm", "The Night Bird Gets The Love", and "Dancing With The Stars"! This album has seventeen tracks and is is on fire! As always, when you buy this album, you get more than your money's worth! -Thaddeus
