10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Hard Rock, METAL/PUNK: Pop-Metal
Details:
Cinder Red has already climbed into the music scene despite their recent formation in January 2006. The untitled 2006 demo brought back the fist pumping rock era, the shredding guitar, and the throw your fist up catchy songwriting feel. Try not to be fooled by the short time Cinder Red has existed. Cinder Red comes from a veteran background, cultivated from the band Polaris (Taxi's CD Compilation "Top 16 Band") and the singer of Aurous (Inland Empire "Best Live Show", "Best Indie CD", Nominee). All members have played venues ranging from "Soma" in San Diego to the "Roxy" in Los Angeles, and many more.
Within a few short months, this metal/rock band has already produced a demo, and booked successful shows. Cinder Red hit over 15,000 plays on "Myspace" in just 2 months. Cinder Red was also a front page artist on purevolume.com as well as a former number one on the charts at numberonemusic.com. Inspiration streams from 80's hair metal (ex: Van Halen, Guns and Roses), to modern rock (ex: Seven Dust, Incubus, Nonpoint, Alter Bridge). The next step is conquering orange-county with piercing guitar riffs and catchy vocals.
Furthermore..... Cinder Red has earned a nomination for "Best Hard Rock" in 2007 for Orange County Music awards. Cinder Red has released a couple songs from their new album, D.I., that will be out at the end of July. The song writing has progressed on this new album, taking a venture into pop-metal with a dramatic vibe. The music is comparable to bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, and Sevendust, with a back beat. The band plans to tour next year and continue to play venues to support the new album. In the meantime, Cinder Red will focus their efforts on shopping the new album to hopeful labels.
Cinder Red consists of: WALKER, lead vocals; SLICK, lead guitar; ANTHEM, drums; WILL 7, bass.
Album credits: Shawn Walker; Vocals, Keyboards, Randy Ramirez; Vocals, Guitar(s), Bass, Rocky Ramirez; Drums, Percussion.
Vocals- WALKER
Walker was born in Bellflower, CA, and grew up from 1991 to 2005 in Temecula, CA. He taught guitar and voice lessons in Temecula for a short time then moved to Orange County in 2006. He currently attends Cal State Fullerton to obtain a business degree, to help push his way through the music industry.
Walker took piano lessons as a child and later found a love for guitars. He took lessons in Temecula during middle school. After high school he took lessons as a singer. He first started writing poetry in high school and later developed those words into lyrics. The conveyance of poetry into music was much more gratifying for Walker.
Walker played guitar in small bands in high school, and later joined a serious band called Aurous in 2002. People encouraged him to sing after hearing what he had to offer. Walker later found his calling as a singer. Aurous was able to achieve some award nominations, but fell apart in 2005. After leaving his old band Aurous, he sought out to form a new band. He searched through many ads and auditioned for many bands. Too many creative differences and mediocrity led him frustration until he found Polaris.
He was most attracted to the talent of guitar in the band. After auditioning for the band, he found himself actually content. After realizing content would not cut it, the band wrote new songs, found a new musical direction, and renamed themselves Cinder Red. Something great happened after the first song was written. In 2006 Cinder Red was formed.
Favorite Bands: Aerosmith, Incubus, Hoobastank, Nonpoint, Sevendust, Alien Ant Farm, Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Luther Vandross, Millencolin, Motorhead, Thrice, Foo Fighters, Papa Roach, Audiovent, Green Day, Duran Duran, Nine Inch Nails, U2, Coheed and Cambria, Sade, Hinder, Three Days Grace, Warren G, and more.

Lead Guitar- SLICK
Slick started enjoying music at a late age. Although he grew up with music always around him due to the rock attitude of his father and the countless hours of MTV and 95.5 KLOS being blasted in his house, the music came later in life.
Slick's first passion in life was martial arts. He went so far as an Advanced 1st degree Black Belt in Karate and Kung-Fu. (Some movements can be seen on stage). :) During times when he had to test to a new belt, he had to perform his routine to music. Searching through many cds his dad had, he found Van Halen¹s "5150". Instantly the guitar works of Eddie Van Halen inspired Slick to go for a new venture in life. MUSIC.
After practicing 24/7 for a few years practically only Van Halen songs and teaching himself how to play the guitar by ear, Slick accomplished many things as a player. Part of his motto is, "I only practice things that are challenging to myself, so that all the simple things will come easy." So far the statement is true. Going through 3 different bands with his brother Rocky (drummer) and Bassist Roland Maniago (not related), they have found the correct and final band that they know will take them to their dreamland.
They accomplished many things in their last band POLARIS. An album in Tower Records, being chosen out of 4,000 bands to play the VANS WARPED TOUR, and becoming the top 16 band in the west on an Indie compilation. Due to certain circumstances they formed a new band with new lead singer Walker and guitarist Steve Goodwin. Now this is the perfect combination. Wouldn¹t you think so???
Slick is currently working a deal with Quicksilver guitars by Ed Roman. His signature model will be introduced soon enough. And in addition is writing and producing a full album for female pro-wrestler Christy Hemme.
Favorite Bands: Van Halen, Sevendust, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Tool, Mudvayne, Soilwork, A Perfect Circle, Incubus, Hoobastank, Audiovent, Spineshank, Motley Crue, Skidrow, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Filter, Bush, Garbage, Beasite Boys, The Offspring, Avril Lavinge, The Deftones, Slayer, Metallica, The Ocean, Scar Symmetry, Audioslave, Live, Nonpoint, 36 Crazyfists, Glassjaw, Ill Nino, Dimmu Borgir, Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Joe Sartriani, Eric Johnson, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Rush, Pantera, Third Eye Blind, Machine Head, Alanis Morissette, Opeth, Otep, Lacuna Coil, Green Day, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Living Colour, All 4 One, Boyz II Men, Duran Duran, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Reel Big Fish, AC/DC, 'N Sync, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Velvet Revolver, Everytime I Die, Thrice, Godsmack, Nickelback, Avenged Sevenfold, Seal, U2, Michael Jackson, Bobaflex, Buckcherry, Bullet For My Valentine, The Used, Diecast, Less Than Jake, Linkin Park, Korn, Collective Soul, Creed, Dry Cell, Pressure 4-5, Eminem, Faith No More, Flyleaf, Finger Eleven, Ratt, Rage Against The Machine, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Helmet, The Exies, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metal Skool, Muse, AFI, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Ryan Adams, Brian Adams, Slipknot, The Smashing Pumpkins, Snoop Dog, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, Journey, Staind, Spin Doctors, Stone Sour, Tantric, Usher, Atomic Punks, Wicked Wisdom, No Warning, Stabbing Westward, Marilyn Manson, Black Label Society, P.O.D., Puddle of Mudd, 311, Candlebox, Dave Matthews Band, REO Speedwagon, Whitesnake, Exodus, The Verve Pipe, Steel Dragon, Ramstein, Greenwheel, Our Lady Peace, System of a Down, Anthrax, KMFDM, Mnemic, Orgy, Kansas, The Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash (and Young), Boston, Horse the Band, Nine Inch Nails, Extreme, Destiny's Child, Black Eyed Peas, No Doubt, Hole, Between the Buried and Me, It Dies Today, Chuck Berry, Brian Setzer, James Brown, The Temptations, The 4 Tops, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Caligula, Photograph, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, OneSideZero, Dragonforce, Taproot.......................... Randy has gone cross-eyed. When he thinks of more, He'll put 'em up.

Bass- WILL 7
Will 7's musical journey started when he was about twelve years old. Like most musicans, Will 7 was absorbed by music during his teens. Countless hours of MTV (when they played videos) and listening to KNAC and KROQ helped inspire him. At the same time, two albums changed his course in history. The Metallica Black Album and Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 got me addicted to all things rock. From that point on, being a rock musicians was pretty much all he wanted to do.
Will 7 started playing on an old beat up acoustic his mom had tucked away in her closet. He was so horrible and made such a raquet that his mom got him lessons at a local music shop in Fountain Valley, CA when he was thirteen. "What was most facinating about taking guitar lessons was that my teacher would ask me what songs I wanted to learn, and then he would teach me how to play them. I thought that was so amazing to play a song like I heard it on the radio. I thought it was magic."
After jamming around with some people in high school, he joined his first real band at the age of 19, called Insinsear. That band was around for about four years playing all over California. During that time, he would switch over to bass from guitar. "I don't really care what instrument I play now. The important thing to remember is that a band is the sum of its parts, not comprised of individuals. I get the most satisfaction when I can make everyone else sound good."
Recently, Will 7 has joined up Cinder Red in 2007 and is looking forward to help keep the rythm section a lean mean rocking machine. "I always wanted to be in a pure rock band like Cinder Red. A band where people are pumped up to see live, because they deliver the goods. A band that plays not only songs, but anthems that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up."
Stylistically, Duff Mckagen, John Taylor, Justin Chancellor, Nikki Sixx, Mike Inez, Dean Deleo, and Bill Wyman are Will 7's major bass playing influences.
Favorite Bands: Guns N Roses, The Cult, Pantera, Rammstein, Nickelback, Avenged Will 7fold, Motley Crue, Jane's Addiction, AC/DC, Buckcherry, Metallica, Papa Roach, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Anthrax, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Garbage, Ozzy Osbourne, Filter, Marilyn Manson, Eighteen Visions, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin, Faith No More, Alice In Chains, Sex Pistols, Social Distortion, Beautiful Creatures, T-Rex, Duran Duran, Motorhead, At the Drive In, Filter, Tool, A Pefect Circle, Rob Zombie, Moby, Linkin Park, Muse, and U2.
Gear Used: Ernie Ball Music Man and Fender Basses, Gallien-Krueger Amps, Dunlop and Boss pedals, Rotosound strings, and Steve Clayton guitar picks.
