About The Chris Taylor Project
The Chris Taylor Project came into being in the spring of 2007 after singer/songwriter Christopher Taylor Hogue came back from Lake Tahoe, California with an album prepared for the studio. Bassist Jeremy Gould, lead guitarist Dave Schmitz, from Chris's previous band The Hill immediately signed onto the project, closely followed by Jeremy's father, drummer and owner of The Studio on Cambridge Ken Gould. The group started practicing the songs, and within a week, began work in the studio to produce the debut album "Morris Street". Within a week, the album, a mix of acoustic songs and a variety of other styles, had been recorded and ready for post-production. Ready for release in June of 2007, this group's debut album is an eclectic mix of acoustic rock, soulful country blues, and candid love songs. Featuring the single "Morris Street", written by Chris for his friend Brandon Morris who was murdered in the summer of 2006, this radio friendly album is sure to have something for every type of listener.
