Dacia J. has released her debut house music CD, âAcid Rhythmâ. The full length instrumental songs on the CD captures the flavor of the Chicago House music era. The songs can be mixed by DJâs and enjoyed by music lovers. Growing up in a suburb of Chicago has its advantages. Chicago House music has been a driving force since the early 1980âs. Many pioneers have paved the way and put Chicago on the map all across the world. Dacia J. spent many days and nights listening to the latest âhot mixesâ on the radio in the 80âs.

She is no newcomer to the music business. Dacia Jâs company, Word in My Mouth Productions, was birthed from a seed sown in 1996. That seed was a result of a lack of good, positive music on the radio. The desire to produce good, quality music began to build. By 1998, many lyrics were written by the companyâs founder, owner, and CEO, Dacia Johnson. She would carry a portable tape recorder to work in order to record songs whenever inspiration hit.

House Music is only one facet of her musical vision. By 1999, Dacia J. participated in a CD project at her church. A request was made for some of the members to submit songs to a music producer who attended the ministry. With a desire to seize the opportunity, Dacia J. submitted two songs to the project. The music producer, Morris âButchâ Stewart, produced commercials for McDonaldâs and the theme song for the Oprah Winfrey show. He agreed to produce the songs submitted by the members. What began as one CD project became three. The three CDâs were released in September 2000 on an independent label.

Dacia J. serves faithfully at her church as an audio engineer. She has had the opportunity to engineer live sound for notable people in gospel music like Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams, Martha Munizzi, Kim Stratton, Walt Whitman and the soul children of Chicago, Paul Wilbur, and many others. She has also had the pleasure of meeting reknowned DJ Edward âGet Downâ Crosby. Her desire to share music with others continues to grow. To date, she has well over 100 songs in her music vault.
