Grinding brutality, in its own unique form, shredding the minds of all alike from the close-minded, and feeble, to the strongest of free thinkers.. Embryonic Devourment formed in 2001 originally under the name Ye Old Skabbard with founding members Austin Spence, Lauren Pike, and Luke Boutiette. They released 1 CD with Mondongo Canibale Records for the DEATH Chuck Schuldiner Compilation and changed the name shortly after. After 8 months of writing and playing they agreed to add Johnny Helvete (vocals). After bitter disgust, Johnny stopped writing lyrics about fantasy, and shared the ideal of the evil in reality, in a more sickened day in age with his new-found brothers in grind.. The dreaded wickedness of the world became the lyrical foundation for the vision for the band. In February '04, Embryonic Devourment parted ways with Johnny Helvete, after missing too many practices. Austin Spence also left due to other commitments. It was a regrettable and difficult decision, but it had to be made. 2 years later they re-added the very talented bassist / vocalist Austin Spence to the fold and thus - The band has moved on and is continuing to shred and brutalize. Johnny's contributions are greatly appreciated, and his amazing vocals on the Beheaded by Volition demo will never be forgotten. He has truly left his mark, and will be missed. With new material on the way, reaching into the sickest, most insane level of Brutal musicianship on a overtly technical level, Blaringly high-sped drumming, and Vo-kills to shred the senses, Embryonic Devourment plan to hit the studios to record their sickness, in order to expose the world to it's own degradation!!!! Now signed with Grotesque Records they plan to hit Europe in Sept. 2006 ! Brutality in it's finest is on it's way, cover your eyes......just don't cover your ears!!
