(Classic Rock Tune with a Reggae Twist)

The first single tune arranged and released by alto saxophonist, Eric Demmer, is a refreshingly new idea that was based on the famous rock and roll tune written by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. Demmer first conceived the idea for this arrangement when he was a teenager, and although he kept hearing it over and over in his head for many years, he never heard anyone play it like this. He talked about it with other musicians and friends and they encouraged him to get it recorded so he could share it with others.

The listener first hears Demmerâs soothing, sultry tones of his alto saxophone as he plays the introductory notes of the tune, much like the original. The smooth rhythm breaks into an unexpected reggae beat that uplifts the listenerâs mood as he hears the happy-go-lucky sounds of steel drums sprinkled throughout. This transports the listener to the Caribbean as he conjures up the scenery of crystal clear blue waters lapping at the white sands of a beach, while palm trees sway in the tropical breezes.

Vocalist, Rick Marcel, enhances this image even further by adding his own special touch to take the listener all the way to his own island.

This arrangement is somewhat difficult to categorize, as its roots come from classic rock and fuse into a reggae beat that produces a new, interesting and unique twist on an all-time favorite.

This âcross-overâ arrangement is definitely going to be talked about and shared throughout many different cultures and age groups.
