By the age of 8, native Milwaukeean, Eric Mire, had already begun playing the piano and was a practicing composer by the age of 12. Growing up in a city that gave birth to such organizations as Present Music, The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Eric was destined to become a great musician. By the time he was in high school he was not only an accomplished pianist but also a self-taught guitarist, bass player and recording engineer. He went on to study music composition and technology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earning himself a BFA in the fall of 2004. During college, Eric played with, toured, and produced a local hip-hop group called the Nowhere Mine. After the eventual demise of the Nowhere Mine, Eric spent some time searching for the sound that best suited his individual interests as a lyricist, musician, and composer. His first solo album, entitled Eric Mire, is the culmination of these soul-searching efforts. Released by ericmireproductions, Eric Mire, displays the artistâs talents as an outspoken critic of current affairs. Eric says things others are afraid to say, and he does so to a melodic blend of organic music that leaves you yearning for more.
