Coconut Joe is the brainchild of Hawaiian born singer/songwriter Bob Rogers, a third generation islander with a flair for musical poetry and storytelling.  He's surrounded himself with a team of veteran musicians and the result is a unique gumbo of pop, rock, light jazz and blues, all sprinkled with a little shredded coconut and luscious vocal harmonies.  It's the tropical music of Hawaii, but done in a contemporary, modern style.

Alternately redolent of Jimmy Buffett & The Beach Boys to Crosby, Stills & Nash mixed with Manhattan Transfer, their sound is both dynamic and eclectic and, much like Buffett, Rogers' lyrics  & stories paint poignant pictures, be they mundane or romantic, humorous or filled with adventure.  For over twenty years, he's been writing songs that reflect his interpretation of the world around him, his family, his loves and growing up on the tropical islands. 

Two Waters is the band's debut CD featuring their big hits "Two Pineapple in New York City" and "Hawaiian Rain." "Two Pineapples" made it to number 1 on the MP3.com world wide folk rock charts in Feb of 2000 and Hawaiian Rain hit number one on the Hawaiian Charts 20+ times during it's three year run.
