In the summer of 2002, Frank was lucky enough to work on his first demo with famed Steely Dan guitarist, Jon Herington. They recorded 6 songs total, and co-wrote the song "Fly" which was a re-write of Frankâs earlier song entitled "Americaâ. Throughout the recording
process, Frank saw the dedication first-hand that is required to become a successful musician.
He considers himself fortunate to have met and worked with Jon.

After the demo project, Frank started writing a new batch of songs that went through many stages of development over the next few years. He took some time to figure out if he really wanted to dedicate himself to music, and the answer was finally YES.

In the Fall of 2006, Frank booked some time with Mike Kohler at Golden Bug Recording in NYC's east village, and started to record some of his new songs. It was obvious from the first take that it was going to be a smooth process, "Working with Mike was a breeze...he has exactly the right temperament to get a good take from his musicians. I was really after an organic feel...I think
my songs are simple, and I wanted people to hear the beauty in that simplicity. It was almost impossible not to sound good with the vintage microphones and tape reels that Mike has at his studio."

The finishing touches were put on when the great Gerald Menke came into the studio and played all the pedal steel and Dobro that you hear on the CD. Frank was immediately impressed by Gerald, "I didn't tell Gerald what to do at all, in fact I had never even met him. He just came into
the studio, and in 2 hours, he played exactly what I had been hearing in my head for 2 years...
he blew my mind."

Frank's decision to dedicate himself to music was quickly validated. He received news that his song "The Starer" off of the new CD was going to be used in the short film "Trio" written by & starring Jennifer Bogush. The film was directed by Danny Aiello, Jr. and will be out sometime
in 2008. Watch closely, you might see Frank in the movie too!

CD RELEASE SHOW-A HUGE SUCCESS!
On Friday, July 27th 2007 over 100 people packed into NYCâs Ace of Clubs to be a part of the much anticipated CD release from Frank Palmeri entitled âTruth Be Toldâ.

Mike Wollman at Core Radio 90.3 was in attendance-"As a DJ on a college radio station, I get to play a lot of new music from groups and singer-songwriters, and Frank's music ranks up there with the best. I only wish he was making this music 30 years ago when people were more open to "good" music and not what passes for music on most commercial radio today. Hopefully Frank's music will find an audience that appreciates his distinct sound, just as I do - And as is often the case with talented musicians, he is even better live.
