A native Washingtonian, Gerald, affectionately known as âGâ was born into a musical family and exposed to the Gospel music scene at an early age. By age 9, he was singing in professional choruses and choirs for the likes of Vikki Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Kim Burrell, Daryl Coley and other Gospel music giants. By age 12, he was traveling internationally to sing in Bilboa, Spain at the opening of the Guggenheim Museum. At age 16, Gerald sat down at the organ for the first time and hasnât looked back. He wrote his first song entitled âDestinyâ for his high school graduation from Eastern High School.

It has been under the pastorate of Bishop Michael V. Kelsey and the mentorship of Stellar Award winning Gospel Artist Isaiah D. Thomas that Gerald continues to hone his gifts. He is dedicated to creating music that speaks to the soul and lyrics that touch the spirit.

In 2007, with the support of his family and the brotherhood of his friends, Gerald completed âIntroâ an intricate blend of Gospel, R&B, and Neo-Soul. âI feel like you don't have to be a âsuper-saintâ to enjoy my music but I pray that the anointing on it will propel people to give their all to Jesus and press toward the mark.â Geraldâs mission is to minister to Godâs people through music that they can relate to and that will empower them to rise above their present situation to their place in God.
