It is a musical experience of my life's journey...traveling the world is always a great inspiration!....living life is the ultimate!.....always moving...vibrating...with smiles & cries...sometimes happy others lonely....enjoying the ultimate adventure......life was my inspiration in composing and creating the selections for this album.....having in mind that always............Life Goes On...
Ioannis Goudelis (Pianist, accordionist, composer, arranger)
Born in Athens Greece on September 21 1972, Ioannis Goudelis started from a very young age playing the piano by ear. At the age of nine he received his first classical training and soon he started performing professionally. Later on he was honored with full ride scholarship in jazz piano performance at Arizona State University. His compositions and unique style on the piano, is a blending of classical music with his Greek heritage and Latin rhythms with gypsy and jazz bebop lines. He has performed at festivals, clubs and concert halls throughout the world: from Greece and Europe to Africa and the Middle East and, throughout the United States. Some of his worldwide appearances have included Sedona Jazz Festival 2006 in Arizona with his Latin jazz ensemble, Paxos Jazz Festival 2005 in Greece with his European ensemble, Scottsdale Center for the Arts in Phoenix with worldwide known artist Chris Spheeris and Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix with the flamenco music ensemble Mosaico. He has recorded more than twenty albums as a sideman on the piano and accordion, and his debut album with original music 'Life Goes On..' released July 2007. Ioannis has studied with great masters of music such as Michael Kocour, Dom Moio, Chuck Marohnic, Clare Fisher, Fred Hersch, Joey DeFrancesco, Arturo Sandoval, Jerry Bergonzi, Eric Alexander, Joe La Barbera,and others.
