Details:
In June of 1999 Chapman Stick player Greg Howard went to Holland to teach a Stick course in Leeuwarden which had been arranged by bassist and Stick player Jan van Olffen. Jan asked Hubert Heeringa and Jan Wolfkamp to join them for a performance and the new Greg Howard Band was born. Greg's excitement about the band's sound led him back to Holland several more times to record with the group, and guest saxophonist Louis Geritts. Their debut CD, Lift, was released in December of 2000. The band performs occasionally in Europe and North America.
