Heath Fagen is an Iowa native, born and raised in the small town of Huxley, and very proud of his Midwestern upbringing. His musical roots vary, but run deep. He remembers hearing country music every morning on AM radio growing up. He also recalls listening to Elvis with his Mother before he even knew who Elvis was, but knowing that it was something special. But being a child of the 80's, the "hair bands" also had a great influence on him and to this day, Heath still listens to, and is a big fan of 80's rock.

Following in his older brother's footsteps, at age seven, Heath began playing drums and a new passion was born. His only goal at that time...be better than his older brother. He eventually taught himself to play the guitar and soon set his sights much higher. At age 22 he co-founded the band "Sweetwater". Within six months Sweetwater was re-carving the music landscape across Iowa and surrounding Midwest states, drawing regional and even national attention by winning music showdowns and battle of the bands. During this time, Sweetwater was also opening for such Nashville acts as Chely Wright, Gary Allen, Wade Hayes, John Anderson, Doug Supernaw, Rick Trevino, Larry Stewart, and many others.

Heath spent the next 7 years fine-tuning his stage presence and eventually began fronting Sweetwater from behind the drums. Heath gradually moved from behind the drum set to front and center stage singing and writing his own songs, thus creating a whole new fan base. This new path led him to Nashville, where he is quickly capturing the attention of everyone who hears his music and gets to know his charismatic personality. He spent most of his early months in Nashville on a tour bus as the drummer for recording artists, "The Larkins". He has come in off the road and has just released his newest CD, entitled simply, "HF", in July 2007. Stay tuned... things are going to happen for this new artist.

Taxi, the world's leading independent Artist & Repertoire company gave Heath's debut solo album, Heroes & Heartaches, released in 2002 very positive reviews with remarks like, "strong, emotional, moving" and "vocal is very good, emotional, powerful, unique", "he's well on his way". (Taxi A&R, 2002) He also quickly gained the respect of his songwriting peers in Nashville and has had 3 of his songs recorded by other artists, and currently has one of his most recent songs on hold for a major label artist. Heath, as a person, is all heart, and it shows in his songs; vocally, lyrically, and musically. His voice will grab you, his writing will touch you, and his charm, genuiness and his emotional delivery will win you over. Just listen - you'll get it!
