Details:
The first CD released by the Cole Younger Band, "Ride On" was released in 2001 and blends rock, folk and country sound, featuring original music inspired by tales of the legendary Younger Brothers.
John Pollard started the Cole Younger Band in 1980 and played the local bar scene for several years. In 1998 John reformed the band incorporating the talents of Sue Bookman on bass guitar and Joe DiGiacomo on keyboards. The "Ride On" CD was recorded with Steve Efta on lead guitar and Bob Tabasko on drums.
"Ride On" was recorded at Target Studios in Elkton, MD and produced by Marc Moss.
The Cole Younger Band is currently playing regularly in the Delaware-Maryland area. In 2002 the band was asked to play at the Harrisonville, Missouri Living History Festival. Harrisonville is the home town of the famous outlaw, Cole Younger. The band returned to play in Harrisonville again in the Fall of 2003 & 2004.
John Pollard composes most of the original material with the band contributing heavily to the arrangements.
