The idea was originally to simply use Sibelius (a classical music writing program) to simply make random remixes of different things. My first real try with anything of the kind was a mix of The Ultimate Showdown (by Lemon Demon) in June of 2006. After a time of simply mixing things together, I finally obtained a mic and started banging my head on the keyboard and singing whatever was inputted into MS Word.

Since then, I've actually come up with enough original material, combined with a few of my better efforts with pure mixing, for a short album. However, I decided this was not enough. I had to invade and occupy Azerbaijan. Subsequently, I started writing parodies of songs, and they weren't actually that bad. I then moved on to other songs, songs so different and revolutionary that no words can describe them. Unfortunately, while I was doing something generically important outside, these files were picked up by a gust of magnetic wind and carried away to an undisclosed location. Dick Cheney is planning to release them on his 2008 album.

ABOUT SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE ARTIST
Writer's Block is the first part of the originally monumental (but now very dinky) debut album planned for Incompetentia. The second part of the album is in production and will likely be completed by the end of 2007.

The artists parodied on this half of the album include Lemon Demon, They Might Be Giants, The Fray, and Akon. The subject matter ranges from PETA to internet lingo to all different types of food.


On a more practical note, if you are going to burn a CD of this half-album, be sure to burn with ZERO SECONDS in between tracks to bask in the full glory of amazing transitions.
