20 Years ago the world didn't know that we would be receiving a very special gift to hip hop music... 20 year old lyricist Krysis. Being inspired to rap after listening to his older brother Kemo and sister in law Gisela's first mix tape. "Their lyrics were on point and I could relate to everything they were saying," says Krysis. When Krysis was 15 he finally got the courage to call Kemo and tell him he wanted him to listen to his work. The first song Krysyis ever let Kemo hear was "Issues" a song talking about everything going on in the world, after hearing "Issues" Kemo told his brother to keep writing and making more songs. In December 2004 Krysis flew to Tennessee for a week and recorded a 15 song demo in one day, Being so impressed by his brother's work Kemo told his brother he would put all his energy into helping him to achieve his dream of being an artist. Now in 2007 Krysis is now releasing his debut album entitled "Stand Wit' Me" through L1 Records (or Lyrics 1st) a label started by Kemo to suppport his brother Krysis. "We make songs that will touch the churches, regular people who have 9 to 5 jobs, single parents, misused children, dope dealers, gang members and everybody else," says Krysis, and the music from Lyrics 1st / L1 Records is doing just that!
