Details:
Linda Laws' career began at age 9. Singing at the age of 9 showed leadership. By age 12, she was given lead on her church choir. Miss Laws preformed with groups, like the Norwood Singers, The Williams Brothers, Seven Silvertones and a small family group that performed in local churches.
Miss Laws finished her college years and became a teacher, yet remained a singer. A teacher, poet and author of Poetic Feelings for Tomorrow, a model and lecturer, she has shown that music is still a number one priority. Miss Laws was a spokesperson and MC for many shows and graduations.
She was married to a professional singer from the early 60's who traveled with a group called the Philadelphians. After his death, she continued to sing as she had promised her husband Dave. Singing continued in New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Delaware and other east coast cities.
During the 1990s, while traveling to Beverly Hills, California to be honored for her writing, she met Mr. Thaddeus Wales. Mr. Wales is the producer of the East Coast group, The Ethics, who had several hits. Mr. Wales encouraged Miss Laws to meet others who helped her on her way. Mr. Wales, who is also the president of TW Productions, had offered her a career with him, but she chose to finish her college education.
After obtaining her degree, she moved on. Miss Laws was discovered by Joe Frazier, Ex-heavyweight boxing champion, who had saw one of her performances. Joe Frazier introduced Miss Laws to a friend of Frank Sinatra's who helped her to find the right agent for the Atlantic City Casinos.
In December of 1999, Michael Averenso (Sonny, Jr.), who performed for the Tropicano Casino introduced her to Michael Dano. Michael gave her a job singing in the Atlantic City Casinos. She performed New Years Eve completing three shows with just a band and her. She performed from 8:30PM to 1AM. She continued to practice and perform on holidays and weekends for the Atlantic City Casinos. She knew after getting her first standing ovation at the Sands Casino she was on her way.
The year of 2004, after performing 5 years for the Atlantic City Casinos and surrounding areas, Miss Laws decided to move to Las Vegas in search of a different level, audience and more to give than she ever had. An author, a teacher, model, lecturer, none of these jobs can be graced as the gift of her singing. To hear a song and truly feel it-Meet Miss Laws!
