We know what youâre thinking, âoh no, another kid with an acoustic guitarâ¦â However, Luke Boor is not just an average 20-year-old singer/songwriter. Raised as a Texas native, Luke received success early in his songwriting career. Straight out of high school, he founded and fronted the pop/rock band Shultonâs Youth. In early 2005, Luke and the other members of Shultonâs Youth signed with M.L.A.R. Records, an indie label based out of Houston . From there, Luke took advantage of numerous opportunities. The band played at packed Guitar Center store opening in Austin , Texas and Tulsa , Oklahoma , as well as crowded dance clubs in Miami , Florida . Later on in the year, Shultonâs Youthâs debut single made an appearance on the Billboard Top 100 Singles Sales Chart.

When the group ended, Luke continued to play acoustic shows all through out Texas , while being the start of several articles in The Houston Press. In summer 2006, he took the next step in his career by moving to Hollywood, California, where he became a full time student at Musicianâs Institute. As Luke started to make his presence known in the L.A. music scene, Lukeâs tunes caught the attention of producer C.J. Eiriksson (Incubus, Hoobastank, Hanson). Boor and Eiriksson hit the studio and cut three new tracks with the help of Lukeâs new band, formed of fellow talented music students. The result: a fresh, catchy pop/rock sound that finds its way inside the listenerâs head and refuses to leave.

The word on Luke Boor is spreading. His great songs, pulse-raising live shows, and all around relentless self promotion is not going unnoticed. We can be sure to hear a lot of Boor in the near future; that is guaranteed.
