Description:
Classic Hard Rock with a definite 70's/80's flavor but with a touch of modern Metal edge added
10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Hard Rock, METAL/PUNK: 80's Metal
Details:
Madman's Lullaby came together in summer 2006,with guitarist Brett MacMillan,Drummer Jeff Blackburn and Bassist Mike Tersigni. All had played together in some combination in past bands on the SF Bay area scene. Brett & Jeff had played together in bay area Glam/metal band SLEAZE and Jeff and Mike later played together in the band JAB. The trio spent a couple months together jamming and writing songs. Did some demoing before beginning looking for a vocalist. After a short time landed vocalist Gary Burnley. Actually kind of a cool story how they found Gary. Gary's son was out at a local music store, saw a flyer the guys had up looking for a singer, went home and looked up the bands myspace page, heard the demos, called his dad and told him to check us out and the rest is as they say is history!! Once a foursome continued writing songs and rehearsing. Guitarist Brett responsible for the music and Brett,Gary and Mike all involed in writting lyrics. The band entered the studio in March 2007,at I'm Stein studio in Sunnyvale Ca to begin recording. Later in April 2007 went on to mixing, chores handled by old friend, and former Sleaze bassist Aaron Leigh, who had his own band Echo of Souls. In May 2007 the band had new photos done as well as getting CD Mastered at the Famous Plant Studios in Sausalito,Ca Mastering handled my John Cuniberti who has worked on several Joe Satriani records among others. CD artwork/layout would take sometime to develope but we must say looks pretty damn good!! Madman's Lullaby began playing the local scene again in May 2007 and now that they are armed with new CD plan on expanding their scope to not only the SF Bay Area but also making ventures to LA and Las Vegas. Madmans Lullaby owes much of its sound to 70's and 80's Hard Rock with a bit of modern edge. Brett states we're not trying to invent the wheel here just make some good music and have a good time doing it!! We hope you all enjoy the CD,whether the straight ahead numbers like "Backs Against the Wall","Black Rain" and "Broken Heart" to up tempo ones like "Hang em' High" the KILLER ballad "No one to Blame" the rockin title song "Unchain My Soul" or the catchy "Take Me Home" be sure to visit Madman's Lullaby at myspace.com/madmanslullaby for more info, pictures, show info etc
