Formed in 1999, connor has been packing clubs throughout the southeast for several years now. Originally named GruvnHi, the group's talent level has afforded members the opportunity to play with such bands as Incubus, Godsmack, Edwin McCain, and even the Dave Matthew's Band. With a large and ever-growing fan base, including members of Sister Hazel, Collective Soul, the Marvelous 3, and TLC in attendance recently, the band sold over 1300 copies of it's 2001 independent release "Welcome to the Cycle".
With the departure of original bassist Levon White, the band changed it's name to 'connor' to reflect the changing tone of it's music from all-out party rock to the more delicate melodies and introspective lyrics of lead singer/guitarist Connor (formerly of 8Bus). May of 2002, saw the addition of bassist Jonathan Zimmerman (JellyRoll, Cosmic Johnson), solidifying the band's line-up with drummer Mike Mullholland (Majoun) and guitarist Mark Lusk (Houseboat).
Since that time, connor has been taking their sound across the east coast, with gigs from Miami to NYC, and all stops in between. With the recent release of their Frame 313 Records debut, "Time By You", you can expect to see much more from this band in the very near future.
