12 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Americana, EASY LISTENING: American Popular Song
Details:
Jimmy McCarthy has been writing and recording his songs for over twenty years. His last group of CDs " the Englewood Collection" are songs about life in a small beach side town, that is said to be a small drinking town with a serious fishing problem! This last CD may be the best yet! "Post Cards from Lemon Bay" is a collection of songs by McCarthy and two other songwriters, Gail Swanson and Tom Evans. The tittle track was written for Jimmy by Soder / Zegri a song writing duo from Englewood.
McCarthy was raised in Cleveland Ohio, the home of Rock en Roll. He played in groups from Cleveland before moving to Florida. You can hear the roots of rock in many of his songs. Jimmy's goal is to make good music at a fair price. He and David Buescher, Jimmy's friend and fiddle player are always hard at work. Either they are playing live or working on the next recording project. If you get the chance to catch them live, you can expect few breaks and lots of music!
If you buy this CD,I am sure you will find songs that will stay with you. McCarthy likes to tell stories and this CD has several songs about trips he has taken and people he has met along the way. If you enjoy singer like John Prine and Van Morrison, you will like this.
