Continental Village...what the heck does that mean? Well, I grew up in a place called Continental Village, in New York State. It was a quiet little nook, with a lake to fish and swim in, endless dirt roads for sledding and riding bikes, very kid-friendly. When I was 12, I discovered folk music, and I just went nuts. I began a life-long journey of discovering songs from all over North America, so I was also growing up in a musical continental village as well. And thatâs what Iâm celebrating here.

Iâve been performing for over 40 years, and the songs on this CD are some of my closest friends. Theyâre stylistically extremely diverse, I guess because I get bored easily. I could never settle down to one genre and call it my own. Thereâs just too much good stuff out there. So the unifying theme here is just my taste. There are cowboy songs, ballads, a few originals, Calypso, Bob Dylan, and a large share of popular tunes I learned from my Dad. Itâs just who I am musically. Lots of good friends helped me out, and they make this much more fun for me, and for you too, I hope.
