Magen Kennedy Dignan is a married 38 year old mother of 2 young boys. She pays her bills by teaching piano for the past seven years in her home studio, but she aspires to write music for films. Growing up, the piano was always an outlet for her emotions and as she would sit down and improvise, the music always had a visual story that accompanied it. She has studied piano for 30 years, written music and performed at weddings and parties. She also was a member of a small local band, Innosense, in Boston while attending Boston University. She wrote and recorded the soundtrack for a documentary about tapestry artists that was shown at the exhibits around the world. In 2002 and 2003, she was a volunteer piano teacher twice a week at The Christie School, a residential home for abused teenagers. She is currently taking a break from Marylhurst University where she studied for the past four years working towards a piano pedagogy certificate. She has now resumed composing and hopes to share her creations with more than just her family. Enjoy!
