The son of an Atlanta jazz musician, Nicholas Alan played in a few bands throughout his youth and grew up listening to a wide variety of pop, jazz and rock. Heâs a native of Hollywood, FL and was raised in Marietta, GA.
In the summer of 2004, Nicholas set out to make his debut CD A World Like Ours with members of his fatherâs band sitting in on the sessions. Released in May of 2005, the album is a blend of jazz and pop with unique arrangements.
Nicholas signed with independent label SideBMusic in September 2006. Since then, tracks from A World Like Ours have received airplay on over 22 US radio stations and 30 webcasts and podcasts. His 7-track E.P. Busker was produced by Clay Cook and was released by SideBMusic in September 2007.
Nicholas is 26 years old and currently resides in Los Angeles.
