Electro Funk Rock. Amazing Female and male Vocals. With elements of rock, dance R&B, Electro, Funk and spaced out vibes this is a great sound.
7 MP3 Songs
URBAN/R&B: Funk, ELECTRONIC: Dance
Details:
Omega66 was formed in June 2006. Two members of Omega66 were the founders and writers of Dark Chunk. They played a slot at the dance tent in Glastonbury 2004. Dark Chunk split at the end of 2005 due to differences.
They have just finished recording their debut album âEssential Fatty Acidâ. So far this impressed listeners afar with its strong songs and eclectic vibe. DJâs from around the world have been trying to get some tracks on vinyl.
The first track on the album âFall in Situationâ has been remixed by break-beat producer Angel Farringdon and was played as a world wide exclusive on Annie Nightingales Radio 1 show. Radio 1, Kiss Fm and 101 and many other well known DJâs have been eager to get their hands on it who now await the release of the track.
Their live show has been received with immense enthusiasm and already they have supported âUnkle Jamâ, âSubsourceâ and âThe Eggâ. Live reviews have been great and have fed the optimism about the future of Omega66. They are currently organising gigs all around the U.K. and Festivals for 2007/2008.

Omega66 provide a perfect mixture of guitars, electronics and screaming vocals. Seven strong songs in total with a deep under current of moods and messages dressed up in summer grooves. With elements of rock, R&B, Electro, Funk and spaced out vibes this is a great sound.
ZM **** Buzz Magazine
It's always nice when you come across something that is hard to pigeonhole and this little number is definitely a defiant little bugger. Part rock, part dance, part pop, part soul, part funk, but all top quality.
The sweet soulful vocals of Suzi make this stand out to be more than just a lad's party album, giving it a radio friendly layer but without sounding commercial.
'Dig It' gives us some of the funkiest bass lines ever to come out of Cardiff, with some nice wah wah and fuzzbox layered over the top resulting in a vibe that would shake any self respecting club.
'Celebrity Burn Out' turns on the acid jazz machine and transports us to the other side of the Atlantic, although the lyrics would make the likes of Paris Hilton blush. 'Stop Funkin Me Around' dips its toe in some rock pools demonstrating that if they wanted to they could turn their hands at something heavier. Something tells us if they wanted to, they could pump it up with the tribe.
Peppermint Iguana Zine ****
âInfectious funk rhythms and melodious grooves, while venturing out to explore drum and bass flavours, electro and indie fusion. With a fan base gathering momentum at an alarming speed. Resistance to the funk could soon prove futile.â
Megan Cambell â Sound Nation Magazine
âCatchy Songs, great grooves, a fusion of styles, a pleasure to listen to!â BBC
âThe threesomes electro-funk-rock indicated the bands progressive style and genre crossing abilities. Its not very often that a band is capable of pulling off fusing funk with soul, rock, electro and pop all at onceâ Patric Morgan, The Western Mail
âThis is the bomb!â Blackbyrd Mcknight, Parliament/Funkadelic
