DAVID ORTIZ comenzó a cantar profesionalmente a la edad de nueve años. Por muchos años se presentó en varios programas de televisión y radio latinoamericana, al igual que en hoteles de primera categoría y centros nocturnos de renombre internacional. Durante esta época grabó para las casas disqueras RCA Victor, United Artists, Epic y Columbia/CBS (Sony). DAVID ORTIZ began to sing professionally at the age of nine. For many years he appeared in various top-rated television and radio programs throughout Latin America and performed at many internationally renowned hotels, as well as the most prestigious nightclubs in the Spanish-speaking world. In addition, he recorded for such top recording labels as RCA Victor, United Artists, Epic and Columbia/CBS (Sony). However, it was during this time that David got caught up in the world of drugs and his marriage was at the brink of collapse. Yet, it was while he was singing alongside Latin America's most famous recording group that he had a life-changing experience that brought him to Jesus Christ.
Today, David is a highly respected and accomplished evangelist, Christian singer and a masterful teacher of the Word of God. He has been a featured guest on the highly acclaimed CBN television program, The 700 Club, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and other well-known radio and television programs throughout The U.S. and Latin America.
Although known throughout the Spanish-speaking Christian world as one of our best Christian vocalists, David is also a prolific writer, having written for such distinguished international publications as Dr. Billy Graham's, "Decision Magazine". Recently, he has begun work on a book that describes the role of the modern-day evangelist. He has also released eleven Christian recordings and has collaborated on many humanitarian projects to help feed the hungry and establish orphanages throughout various parts of Latin America, including the Dominican Republic, Mexico and El Salvador.
Rev. Ortiz is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and has been a frequent worldwide guest of the Full Gospel Businessmen's International Fellowship, a Christian organization that brings God's Word to top professionals, and other high-level executives, entrepreneurs, and distinguished government officials, including world dignitaries and various presidents of Spanish-speaking countries.
Within the world of academia, David holds a Master of Divinity degree from the prestigious Union Theological Seminary, of Columbia University's School of Theology, in New York. In addition, he has taught in two theological seminaries and offers seminars on Christian leadership and marriage enrichment. He was also selected to the Honor Society of Alpha Kappa Delta with high academic honors.
