Jim Overton started his musical career as a drummer at the age of ten. Over the years he picked up many different instruments including piano/keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, banjo and mandolin.
Jim started writing music as a young teenager and has written over 500 hundred songs in many different genres. Jim has played in many bands; first as a drummer, then as the front man for two successful rock bands in his hometown of Phoenix.
Today, Jim is a singer/songwriter in the Nashville area, where he has lived for five years. He spends his time writing and recording his original music in his home studio in Hendersonville, playing all the instruments and singing all the parts. He also produces and engineers various recording projects for his songwriting clients.
His self-titled debut album is now available on CDBaby, and his second album will be available in early 2008.
